Iratxe Jaio and Klaas van Gorkum are the artists behind the project Stay inside. Close windows and doors. They have been working collectively since 2001, reflecting on the relationship between people and their social, cultural and physical contexts, and on conflicts between collective and individual experience. They have worked and exhibited internationally, in locations such as The Centre for Visual Introspection in Bucharest (Rumania), OK Centrum für Gegenwartskunst in Linz (Austria), Centro Cultural Montehermoso in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain), IAPSIS in Sweden, Platform Garanti in Istanbul (Turkey) and Centraal Museum in Utrecht (The Netherlands). In 2008 they were awarded the Basque prize for artists, Gure Artea.
